Happy New Year!!

I really hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year!  And if you don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you at least got a nice day off.

I have to apologise for my month-long absence!  My work is a small company and when my boss in on holiday I have to work every day (literally, every, because its open 7 days).  There aren't enough staff not to, which is why I am always looking for a new job.  (For anyone interested the job I had an interview for recently went very well but I didn't get it.  I was basically told I was second choice, and they are keeping me on file in the event another opening comes up.  But I'm not holding out for it tbh.  As my mother in law says, "What's for you, will nae go past you!").  So basically, Boss went on holiday, I went when he came back (with no internet or phone signal the entire time), I came back and he went AGAIN.  So I really just haven't had any time in the last month to spare for blogging between working and making Christmas gifts.

I made lots of soap and chilli sauces this year (my first time trying either) as Christmas gifts, and they have all been VERY well received, so I will be posting some updates on those soon.

I want to say a big THANK YOU to Mark over at Mark's Veg Plot for the Christmas card and chilli seeds I was really wanting but having trouble finding anywhere.  Plus after Mark's thorough care of their ancestors, my new plants will be wonderful specimens I imagine!  Very excited to get going with those.  Bear with me while I catch up on all your wonderful posts I'm missed reading so much, and I'll be bringing you some fresh posts soon enough myself!  It's nice to be back :)

    1. Sadly, because of the skill level involved in the work there is no agency we can use for this type of work. Also, its hard enough trying to find any more permanent staff with any skill whatsoever, let a lone spare folk. But I've really had enough now, working so much is making me ill, I just want to live my life!

  3. Rozzie, you are too kind! I'm happy to have been able to give you a little gift. I now have millions of seeds for "Numex Twighlight". Do you want any more or know anyone who does??
Incidentally do you know of Victoriana Nursery Gardens, run by Stephen Shirley (of the UK Veg Gardeners forum)? He has "Nosferatu" chilli seeds for sale this year, and also "Vampire" and many others. Worth a look...
